The last few months have been dedicated to preparations for opening Sunny Side Montessori pre-school in 2017. The journey has filled me with immense joy and excitement, all while embracing the necessary challenges along the way. I am so very grateful for the opportunity to educate and nurture young minds through the love of learning in a creative and positive way. Sometimes when I think about the amazing ways to teach lessons or how children make discoveries on their own, I get goosebumps! There’s so much excitement and plenty of possibilities for the future!
I still have pleasant memories of my first day of pre-school; it’s the sort of experience that you’ll remember forever. The first day can be very nerve-racking or thrilling for a child and of course completely out of their comfort zone. Perhaps it’s even more stressful for the parents, not to mention the teachers! So, I want all parents to rest assured that their children will be well cared for and looked after during their pre-school journey. I aim to make this journey as joyful and educational as possible. Life is filled with so many wonderful treats – why not explore and investigate them!?
I encourage parents to maintain open communication with me throughout the school years to follow. I want to know how parents are feeling; if they would like me to focus on any particular part of their child’s development and if there’s anything that needs explaining. I want to create a culture of openness throughout the school, amongst children, teachers, helpers and parents.
I look forward to putting smiles on your children’s faces, a sparkle in their eyes and a skip in their step during their educational adventure.
